Curculio bassos is the catalog of the first monographic exhibition about the artist Mark Manders. Through the texts of Maaike Lauwaert and the curator of the exhibition and art critic Javier Hontoria, this book invites an immersion in the creative universe of the Dutch artist and leads the readers from his studio in Ronse, Belgium, to the rooms of the Galician Center of Contemporary Art. Thanks to the work of this Compostela center, during the summer and autumn of 2014 the Galician public was able to enjoy a complex work, which had already been represented at major events in the art world, such as Documenta 11 in Kassel (2002) or the 55th Venice Biennale (2013).
